LOCATION: This charming totally self contained cottage style property is attached to the main dwelling occupied by the English owners John and Di Fillery and was refurbished in 2006. The property is surrounded by vineyards and the setting is one of total tranquility surrounded by calm peace and vineyards. Nonetheless it is just twenty minutes from the beautiful beaches of Royan and St George de Didonne and their restaurants and friendly bars.

ACCOMMODATION: Bedrooms: 3

Two of the bedrooms are on the first floor and are double bedded. The third bedroom is on the ground floor and is twin bedded. There is adequate space in this room for a “Z” bed or childs cot.

There is a lounge and dining area on the ground floor with a large window and a door leading to the private patio. Satellite TV and DVD are provided together with a supply of family board games and books.

Additionally the ground floor accommodation comprises a separate kitchen/utility room which includes washing machine, dishwasher, cooker and microwave as well as all cooking and eating implements.

There are two shower rooms on the ground floor which were newly fitted in 2006. Each room comprises a shower basin and WC

The property has a pool measuring 11m x 7m with a single depth of 1.25m. The pool is only used by the 2 owners when the tenants are not in residence. All sun loungers and seats are provided as well as plastic eating equipment for al fresco dining

The gite has its own private patio together with a barbeque and all the necessary cooking utensils.

HOW TO GET THERE: The nearest airports are Bordeaux (1 hour) ,La Rochelle (1 hour),Poitiers (1.5 hours).From the ferry ports it is a 5-6 hour drive from St Malo, 6-7 hours from Caen and Cherbourg and slightly further from the Chunnel. We are conveniently just 20 minutes from junction 36 of the A10 autoroute.
