Within a short drive from the centre you can discover the striking cliffs along the river Vezere where the timeless breathtaking landscapes have been handed down from pre-history. This area was the prime address of Stone Age man and woman and you can visit caves including the famous one at Lascaux near to the charming riverside town of Montignac. Medieval Sarlat with its quaint streets, famous Saturday market and the ancient riverside capital of Perigueux are also within easy reach.
